Jacksonville Beach, also dubbed as ‘Jax Beach’, is a city located to the east of Jacksonville, Florida. Jacksonville Beach, along with Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach and Baldwin, Florida, remains quasi-independent and maintains its own municipal government. The last census conducted in Jacksonville Beach was in 2000, according to which the total population of the residents is 20,990. According to the US Census Bureau, Jacksonville Beach has a total area of 56.9 square kilometers out of which 19.9 square kilometers is land while 37.0 square kilometers is submerged in water. The city generally experiences humid subtropical climate.
Jacksonville Beach has a population consisting of people from different origins: Asians, White, African American, Native American, Pacific Islander, Hispanics, Latinos et cetera.
